The Spoonfan Forking Wiki came about after the final episode of the Spoonman. It was originally going to be a Spoony fan club where all of the other Myspace, Bebo and Facebook clubs could have a central location. Due to the axing of the Spoonman show from Triple M the site is now a tribute and archive site of sort.
On this site you will find all the podcasts, editorials, photos, blogs and anything else Spoony put on the internet here. You will also find any information about the show here too. But best of all - this site is your site, you can contribute any information you want to the site, chat with other members, chat with the admins and we can all remember Spoony together. Also if any information about Spoony pops up then we'll post it here for you.
UPDATE: Now Spoony has returned to his now role on Triple M weekdays (effective August 24 2009) you can access that new content here too!
The Admins
Andrew - Brisbane Administrator and Site Creator
Hey - I'm Andrew and I'm a very big Spoonman fan. Pikelet and I started the original Myspace, Bebo and Facebook fan clubs together back on the 27th of January 2008 and I've kept running the sites since then. Now I've decided to build a proper Spoonman tribute site with the Help of Kg and Nathan to really give Spoony that final goodbye from Triple M he deserves.
Kg (Kurt) - Sydney Administrator and Site Graphics Designer
Hey, I'm Kg and I had listened to the Spoonman Show since late 2005. I found out about the fan club on Wikipedia, as i regularly updated it and myself and Andy are responsible for much of the comprehensiveness of the Spoonman show's wiki. Since then I've done many of the graphics on the sites, kept a secret copy of the banned ATFS Episode (now available in all it's glory here) and am now helping to build the Forking Spoonfan Wiki with Andrew.
Nathan - Melbourne Administrator
Hey, I'm Nathan and I'm helping Andrew and Kg by being the Melbourne Administrator for the site. Being from Melbourne this completes the holy trinity of Spoonman broadcast states. I first started listening to Spoonman back in late 05 and was hooked since. I made it a point to call Spoony up on his second last show and told him how much I'm going to miss him on the radio. I also rang up on the last show of 2007 and spoke to Spoony about Defensive Driving. Once all the podcasts are up,you can search through, and listen to them. Also, while youre there listen to the podcast on censoring the internet and you'll hear our very own Sydney admin Kg on air with Spoony.
Thanks for checking out this Wiki, please contribute all you know about what was the best radio show around the country...

Sam Anderson - Brisbane Editor

The Building Of The Forking Spoonfan Wiki
Building a website isn't easy - especially if you budget is $0 and you're in a hurry. This site is based on the brillient and freely Open Source CMS web package called Joomla! We originally tried to host the site on Awardspace but found that this wouldn't cater for our needs so we found a webhost called CEDHost. Everything was going well except... the company closed down! LOL - so we had to move the site over to 000webhost for it's launch. If the server changes again do not worry because the web address won't. All the podcasts and audio files are located on Windows Live Skydrive because they have 25GB of free storage. The Site was offically opened on the 3rd of January 2009 about a month and a week after the final show on the 27th of November.
The Forking Spoonfan Wiki successfully grow and worked well on 000webhost for about one year until 18th November 2009 when The Forking Spoonfan Wiki, Andrew Tech Help and a number of other sites I owned and maintained went offline due to the account being cancelled without explaination. It was discovered on Wednesday 27th of December 2009 when looking through the site backups why the websites were taken down. 1 single setting I failed to notice allowed any visitor to post comments to the photo gallery and over a span of 9 months the photo gallery was being spammed by bots advertising free online pills and porn. The webhost thought we put the content there and therefore removed the sites without warning. All up 6730 comments had been posted. So on January 3rd 2009 (exactly 1 yr after the initial launch) the Forking Spoonfan Wiki was reopened to the public. Sadly 1 month of data has been lost but nothing that can't be recreated. We are currently being hosted on JustHost. On March 15th 2010 All 419 Spoonman Show Podcasts were finally uploaded :)
