The thing that made the Spoonman show what it was - is the people that worked on it. You have Spoony - the main man of the show - taking all your calls and getting fired up nearly every night, Garfield, the cheeky panel operator and Odie - the guy that takes all your calls (and punts the drunks, sometimes). |

The Spoonman
( 0 Articles )
Spoonman was born, lives, eats and breathes news and current affairs - and rock and roll. "Spoony" has an opinion on just about everything and didn't mind speaking his mind nightly on Triple M. Ok - sometimes the death-threats get a little annoying - but he's used to them after 24 years in talk-radio. The Spoonman truly lived up to his motto - "Nothing is sacred, no topic is taboo, everything is fair game."

Garfield
( 2 Articles )
Trusty sidekick of the Spoonman (although not in a Batman and Robin type way). According to wikipedia, Garfield would leave his job at Triple M for a small roll in "Star Trek Commander" which is entirely untrue... He actually said for a small roll in Battlestar Galactica. A consumate professional, unless of course you say football should be called soccer, he had the arduous job of keeping the Spoonman in check and on time during the show and can be heard nightly with nuggets of wisdom/stupidity.

Odie
( 3 Articles )
Odie was due to be put to sleep after being in the Triple M pound for a long period of time. Always willing to offer a lending paw to those who wanted it. However, no big puppy dog eyes, standing on his hind legs or whimpering would impress. That was until he was adopted by the one known only as "The Spoonman" and his trusty sidekick "Garfield". Spoony and Garfield gave Odie a nice place to call home, plenty of food and water, and would regularly change his newspapers. Odie got his nickname as he was taken under the ample paw of Garfield, when first brought into the Triple M house of fun. It also has something to do with the fact he drools a lot and often has to turn around three times before he sits down. Odie was rarely heard on the show but he answered all of your calls. Odie dreams of the day of when he is retired from the producers desk and is adopted by his beloved Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Cheerleaders.
