Odie was due to be put to sleep after being in the Triple M pound for a long period of time. Always willing to offer a lending paw to those who wanted it. However, no big puppy dog eyes, standing on his hind legs or whimpering would impress. That was until he was adopted by the one known only as "The Spoonman" and his trusty sidekick "Garfield". Spoony and Garfield gave Odie a nice place to call home, plenty of food and water, and would regularly change his newspapers. Odie got his nickname as he was taken under the ample paw of Garfield, when first brought into the Triple M house of fun. It also has something to do with the fact he drools a lot and often has to turn around three times before he sits down. Odie was rarely heard on the show but he answered all of your calls. Odie dreams of the day of when he is retired from the producers desk and is adopted by his beloved Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Cheerleaders. |
