hi all so after talking to garfield and odie. i can tell you that at this stage it looks like ATFS will be coming back after they sort out all the stuff like websites and servers and stuff and they will be putting blogs out and some ATFS merch. and they will be keeping there monikers. thats what i know so far. |

That's actually an interesting angle, with iTunes. Does anyone know how that system works? and if they did, would it pass their censorship? |

Yeah - I happen to do a free podcast (you can't charge for podcasts on iTunes) every week and I put it on iTunes as well as my website. Mine has probably the same amount of swearing as ATFS, and it got approved, of course, I had to mark it as explicit (so now the red explicit box comes up next to the name of my podcast in the iTunes store). All you have to do to submit a podcast, is make an rss feed for you podcast (most good podcast websites will simplify this process so you don't have to write any code), then click submit a podcast in the podcasts section of iTunes. They then review it or whatever, and it's in the store within a couple of days. Then, when you make a new episode, you just ping the iTunes store (you get given a URL for this when they approve your podcast), and it appears almost instantly. I'm not sure exactly why Garfield & Odie don't want to put the new podcast in iTunes, but what they both said last time I talked to them was that it wasn't going to be put there, and that they have someone making a website for them just for the podcast. |

Guys and Gals, I wouldn't trust this e-mail. This group "Bring Back Spoonman" is quite famous for spreading complete crap about the Spoonman Show - I was told by the leader of this group that the Spoonman would be going to the Blue Mountains community radio on weekends from Jan 09 - and that hasn't happened + many other things. So yea - I would probably be ignoring anything like that arriving in your inbox from that facebook group. Andrew |

no probs man - I've dealt with the rumor on the homepage. - it's just the kid who runs it, not the rest of the group who have the problem - they could be correct, but with the amount of rubbish sprouted in the past - I highly doubt it! |

I completely agree with trentcs's last post, tell 'em to shove it. Just a heads up, if rumors like this come up that aren't from a member of the show themselves, or one of the site admins / editors (Andrew, KG, Nathan, Pikelet), I would be very cautious about believeing it. There are people out there who are trying to use the fact that we all want the show / podcast back to spread fake info / rumors, just because they're dickheads. Spoony would be disgusted. The people who do this stuff aren't real Spoony fans. |
