When are politicians all over the world going to stop talking-up their moral virtues, while being regular users of prostitutes?
It's also amusing how many politicians and religious leaders who do bang-on (so to speak) about how we should all be moral and decent people, get up to all sorts of vice themselves.
One of them was New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, who was forced to resign this week after being busted using call-girls sourced from a high-class virtual brothel.
He, of course, gained office off the back of a 'moral crusade' - where he would personally wipe-out all vice and other nastiness.
I assume the call-girls he was using were exempt from this purge.
The real problem here is that voters are hypocrites too.
We seem to want politicians who will be tough on vice, while many of us use drugs and porn and the services of the sex industry.
So it's not so surprising that our elected leaders do the same.
But when will we get over it?
How is it that a bloke like Spitzer is deemed incapable of doing his job because he uses expensive hookers?
So what if the guy is getting a bit on the side?
If Spitzer was just an ordinary bloke, the only person he need answer to is his long-suffering wife, who it seems, knew nothing of his dalliances.
But he's now gone, all because he was a political hypocrite. "Do as I say, not as I do."
A Spoonman rule of thumb is this: "The more someone wants to stop you from doing something, the more likely they are to be doing the same thing."
Over to you.....
