Are modern day women becoming more violent?

A 6-month pregnant woman was bashed and robbed by three other women on busy street in suburban Newcastle this week.

She was punched in the stomach and robbed of $6 in coins she needed to buy milk for her other child, a toddler.

Her unborn baby was fortunately unharmed in the attack.

So much for the "sisterhood", ¬ a concept conceived by feminists to indicate their solidarity with other women.

Add to that a bunch of other stories of women¬ and young girls ¬ being overtly violent, sometimes roaming in gangs and carrying weapons.

Sugar and spice and all things nice eh?

Now please don¹t get me wrong here. I know the overwhelming majority of violent acts are committed by men and teenage boys. The stats do not lie.

But are we seeing a disturbing trend of young women¬ and some not so young ¬ becoming more like men, but in all the wrong ways?

Do you think women are becoming more violent today, than in the past?

What are you seeing in your own life and experiences?

I sincerely hope it's not happening. But are women starting to take on way too many of the characteristics of men - characteristics that men have been rightly criticised for over the past few decades?

Are women getting more violent?

Over to you..
