The Forking Spoonfan Wiki (Spoonman Fan Club)

Hey Everyone,

As you would have heard, the Victorian Bushfires are a national disaster. Spoony would have wanted us to do as much as we can to help support the victims of this disaster.

So tomorrow (10th Feb 2009) from 10am (9am Brisbane) Triple M will be running an appeal where you can donate your money to the victims of the fires. I know a lot of you hate Triple M now because Spoony is no longer on the air, but this is to help the fire victims and is something Spoony would have strongly encouraged.

You can also donate money at any National Australia Bank (NAB) branches, Red Cross or via many other organisations making it easy for you to do so.

If you're a school student like me, then also try and either donate to your school's appeal, or lobby your school to start one.

Lastly, to all the victims of the fire, those dead, injured or have lost their homes - our thoughts and hopes are with you :(

UPDATE: Together the Today & Triple M Networks with the help of 7HO in Hobart & 32 Other Regional Stations helped raise 2 Million Dollars for the Fire Victims. If anyone from here donated money then Kudos to you! Congrats to Austereo for forgetting about stations, ratings and marketing and just linking everyone up and sharing & caring for the bushfire victims and thanks to YOU for donating!!
