It is now time to properly announce what we've been finding out over the last 2 weeks. As some of you have seen - Odie's been posting secret messages saying "MONDAY" on the club recently.

From Tomorrow (This Monday August 24th) The Spoonman will return to Triple M. :D

Trent was the very first person to find and alert me to this, so I must thank Trent. He found a Twitter page 2 weeks ago that was from the Spoonman which said "Start new on air role at Triple M on Monday. Details tomorrow. Excited."

Soon afterwards Odie posted his secret message on the fan club simply saying "MONDAY".

With the Launch of the Grill Team etc last week, Triple M management must have decided to hold back a week before commencing Spoony.

Yesterday Spoony updated his Twitter again saying "A fter false start will be back on the m's from Monday doing stuff in completely new way for fm radio. So new, we had to hold for a week."

Odie then posted an update saying to listen to him "The Bryan Madigan" from 9am-12pm tomorrow morning for an announcment.

Finally Matt0011 from MediaSpy forums posted a link, to the Spoonman iTunes Podcast page and here's the graphic below.

So - If I were you, I'd be taking a listen to "The Bryan Madigan" tomorrow morning from 9am on Triple M Sydney 104.9 (http://www.triplem.com.au/sydney/player for those of you not living in Brisbane like myself) and find out! We currently do not know which cities it w ill be broadcast into, we don't know what time the show will be on and we do not know the style of the show, if it will be the same or something completely new.

Happy Spoonfaning, thank you for all your support of the Spoonman Fan Club - obviously management believes he was popular enough to bring him back! Also thanks for our Spoonfan Spies for finding and sharing what they knew with us!

What he was doing was in this announcement the whole time...."NEWS" aint I sneaky?
That's right Spoonman will be reading Sydney's (for now) work day news from 10am till 3pm.

As some of you may know, 2MMM is having a bit of a reshuffle starting next week with the new brekky show, The Grill Team starting on Monday. As KG and Andrew have been keeping you up to date with, there is a possibility of bringing back The Spoonman at this time, because he is still working at TripleM Sydney, and his old timeslot is still vacant. Unfortunately, we have not heard anything relating to a possible return of late, and we wish to send a message to the muddled managers at TripleM that Spoony was a legend, and we want him back.

So, we have a plan. On TripleM at nights, there is another awesome show, Ugly Phil. Now every Friday night, he plays "TripleM's most wanted", basically you can call, text and email in song requests that he'll play that night.

So, the plan is this: We need you all to request a song. It's probably fairly obvious which one, but the song we shall be requesting is called Spoonman, and it's by Soundgarden (off the Superunknown record). Part of that song was Spoony's intro theme. So, any time between 7pm and 10pm this Friday (the 14th) it would be great if you could text into TripleM (19991049) with something like "Spoonman - Soundgarden", or call up if you're in Sydney (133353), or you can email Phil with song requests before or during the show on Friday ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). It could help to put a please or something in there, by the way. :P

I've dropped part of the plan to Garfield, i'm not sure if he caught the whole thing, but we hope this will show MMM management how much we want The Spoonman back, when they get lots of requests for this song. We can't guarantee this will work, but we've gotta try something, and now is the best time to do it.

Thanks in advance to everyone who participates - and if you know anyone else who used to listen to The Spoonman, it's be great if you could pass this on, and we're also trying to get a tweet circulating around twitter to inform everyone, too. If you can help spreading this info or request the song, that would be awesome.

I listened in to Spoony this morning at 4am, he called it an "Encore Performance" and that he was "Just on for this morning"... for now only maybe?

i have my doubts that he would have simply came in once if he wasnt getting a shift back... 2MMM and 3MMM are "Relaunching" at the start of August, my tip is that they will put Paul and Rach on drive from this date, and (If in fact the case) Spoonman on 10pm-1am Weeknights.

We will have to wait and see what happens, but it looks pretty good at the moment.
